Hi, new here, so go easy on me!

Ive had my L322 for about 4 years, and it's been trouble free. About 6 weeks ago, after not driving it for a weekend, i tried to start it, and the battery was flat.

So had a talk to my RR Mech, and he suggested most of the time it's the Alternator, so I bought a new alternator, (from a reputable seller, a Denso) and no joy.

It goes flat if left overnight.

I started to investigate, and in the under bonnet fuse box, F17 and F14 are drawing heaps with the engine switched off.

F17 has a little pic of 2 gears, and F14 has a single gear.

What do these fuses actually do?

Without stating the obvious, are you confident the battery isn't end of life? AGM batteries are much better suited than regular lead acid batteries on these cars, if you don't already have one fitted.

Depending on how many miles it's done, the "Hedgehog" final stage resistor is well known to be a cause of battery drain.

The true way of checking for current draw is to get a multimeter out, measure the current draw when the vehicle is off and start pulling fuses until you find the one where the current drops significantly. You then know which circuit to start looking at. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

Yup, the battery is a few months old, and has been tested.

As stated, we pulled the fuses, and found F17 and F14 as the cause of the drain.

Just trying to figure out what they do, as all the diagrams on the net, seem to be for petrol cars, not diesels.
