TDV8 4.4 starter motor

Hi…. I have a 4.4 TDV8 and have the usual starter motor issue. There are cheap ( well cheaper ) starter motors on the market for around £200 or the Denso for around £300.
Are the cheaper ones worth buying and if not where is the cheapest Denso units available from. I will fit the unit myself. Cheers.

How many hours did it took to replace the starter motor?

It can be done in an hour from underneath with only removing the under tray.

It's the easiest starter motor swap I've ever done. Takes a little bit of rotating it until you find the right angle in which it'll come through the subframe but it will and there's no need to remove anything else from the car.

That's good to know.

I've really only done short trips this year and now mine is on 150,000 miles, I feel like I'm on borrowed time with the starter motor, expecting it could go at any point. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

So, I also get an offer from the official LR dealer for my 2011 TDV8 4.4 448DT.

Labour: € 315 (which means 2,5 hours to replace)
Part LR032541: € 513,02
Including small costs: 889 UK Pounds

You can take also an aftermarket Denso DSN 1207 which is the same I think... And the cheapest way is replacing the solenoid I think but don't know the part no.

This time Land Rover will replace it but I put some extra documents enclosed for the DIY.
Wish you all a good Christmas and greetings from Holland!
