Refurbing/Painting Deployable Side Steps

I have a 2013 Range Rover fitted with deployable side steps which I love. However the cars 9 years old and suffering with stone chips and flaking paint on the deployable side steps. I’m wanting to remove them and have them shot blasted and powder coated in a satin finish. Does any one know if it’s possible just to remove the aluminium boards? Also is it possible to remove the satin chrome detail strip on the step or is it glued onto the step? Any suggestions greatly received!
