All terrain tyres / winter tyres

Quick question - are there any AT tyres which are also a winter tyre? Preferably with the 3 peaks snowflake.
Alternatively are any winter tyres vaguely good off road?

My thinking is I’d like winter tyres but I’d also like a set for the occasional bit of off-roading.

There are quite a few all-terrains with 3PMSF, but they’re going to be a compromise versus a proper winter tyre.

I've had a set of Cooper Weathermaster WSC for a few years now, I've found them to be brilliant as a winter tyre and much better than "road" tyres off road, obviously not as good as AT3's.
Oddly I did find that the more aggressive looking AT3's were quieter on road.

I have a set of GGAT3's in the oe size 255/55/20 no complaints.

I only fit them in the winter to cope with the muddier conditions off road and they are a good compromise. Of the current AT tyres available in the correct size, I think I'll try the Falken WILDPEAK A/T AT3WA next. Although by the tome the GG's wear out, no doubt they'll be more choice.

I now have the Michelin Cross Climate 2 SUV tyres on my RR, as for serious off road performance, I cannot say, but I recently towed a large mini bus full of people out of deep mud. Mini bus was axle deep at the back, and the RR towed it out and across the fields as if nothing was on the back. On the road the tyres are good, very little road noise and good handling. As for price, the fronts were fitted recently, price for two tyres / fitting and tracking was £455. These do have the triple peak / M&S symbols on them.

See the below pic, at first I thought on road handling would be compromised, but handling seems fine Thumbs Up

I have the same Michelin CC SUV's on another vehicle. Never go off road but they are great on the road. Thumbs Up

I also have Michelin cc on another vehicle and are fantastic on that car very grippy and really quiet
Didn’t want them on the fatty as it’s used a bit off the tarmac and didn’t want to ruin them off-road 2016 4.4 diesel

Getting a set of Falken WILDPEAK A/T AT3WA fitted next week and they have the 3 peaks snowflake rating. I am fitting 255/55 R20's.

I had a set of Michelin Cross Climates on my previous Vogue. Wouldn't have them again. They're great on my wife's A3 quattro, but I found them to be very vague on the FFRR. Quieter than the AT3s of course, but not fit for all-purpose use on the Rangie in my books. The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom Smile

gettingold - Just seen your post, size on mine - 255 / 60 / R18 Thumbs Up

JMC, surprised to read your comments, but good to see a variety of thoughts on these tyres, maybe we must have different driving styles. Some times my driving is a bit quick, always staying within the speed limits, of course Whistle Rolling with laughter

Yes Merchy - I'm not the quickest driver in the world. This is me in one of my other 4x4's..... Whistle

I know nothing about tyre choices either! Wink Mr. Green The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom Smile

sounds like a second set of wheels with AT3s or the Wildtracks might not be a bad idea, then I'll swap my (disappointing) Roadians out for some better Summer rubber.
