X5 bmw torque converter into a td6 ??

Gone to swap my TC today , refurbished one is suppose to be for a td6 but has 4 bolt holes which i think means its for the bmw X5 , can i buy the ring gear for the bmw and bolt that in ??

It looks like ive been mis sold the TC i bought , its must be for the later model X5
