Chancing their arm - that’s exactly how I feel. Imagine being too busy to check properly and auto renewing.

I reckon they did by the looks of it.

I just didn't like the fact the more I moaned the more I got off. Why not give good service at the right price to start with rather than chance your arm and hope the customer doesn't moan.

Gonna start looking today.

I have two weeks so should be fine to find someone.

Something is weird with the AF renewal as there is zero no claims and as they should know, I have max no claims.

Maybe this is throwing their figures.

Latest update.

No response from AF.

Alternative company (first one I’ve looked at):

£1800.

Excesses:

Theft £9k
Accidental damage £3100
Windscreen £1000

It’s a simple case of trying it on.

Firstly the L460 isn’t getting stolen (according to JLR) and the excesses are no more risk than any other car I drive - so why should they be higher.

Reckon they are using “Range Rover” policies as an excuse to get money back on past payouts.

The newer stuff is being stolen - maybe not as easily, or in the numbers of the L462/L494/L405, but:

England 2018 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Corris Grey

does anyone have any further info in the types of locations that these are getting stolen from? I live in a low risk area, car parked on the drive, but travel with work and stay in hotels in some higher risk areas so a mix of hotel/multi storey car parks (full steering disk lock fitted if that makes a difference to these hoodlums). I'm not tempted yet to sleep in the car when I'm away but its an option lol First time FFRR owner

Update:

AF say Aviva stopped insuring RRs.

New AF price via Sabre is £3700.

I’m already down to £1800 with new provider.

New provider says all insurers adding 5% theft excess to all RRs over £25k.

So I guess I will go with the £1800 quote.

Well now this is where it’s starting to get interesting.

I just checked with the new broker to see who the underwriter is and guess who?

Yep!

You couldn’t make it up.
