Heavy knock from rear when braking

Just started to get a heavy knock and I mean a real thud from the rear on my 2012 TDV8 when braking moderately heavily. It doesn’t occur under light braking.

Seems like it’s coming from o/s rear but difficult to be sure. There is lighter knock when the power is reapplied.

Any ideas on how to diagnose where the knock is coming from?

Many thanks.

Kevin

Yes, I thought that may be the way.

Just looked into the price of genuine L/R bushes. Approx £800 for 12 bushes!!

Don't assume it will need all doing at the same time and also have a look at the subframe to body mounting bushes too.
Dependant on what may have already changed by previous owners, it could be any of them after "only" 10 years old. Paul,
