Driver side door mirror - odd behaviour

To be honest this isn't a major concern, but it is odd. One of our Fatty's is having one if it's periodic electrical gremlins. The drivers side door mirror up and down function operates in reverse! It's ok left and right and the passengers side mirror is fine in all directions, just the up and down on the driver side. Anyone else had this happen and know what the heck it's playing at please? Drives:

This happened on my L405. What I did was put the car in reverse and then set the angle I wanted the mirror at.

It's no problem to set it at the angle wanted and it remembers it ok, it's just that when you press up it goes down and vice-versa. Strange! Drives:
