LR INCONTROL stuck

Mornng all,

After having the previous owner removed from my new vehicle's profile I was able to set up the InControl app and assign the car to me. All was good..

Then 2 weeks later, having used the app a few times, I took the car to back the dealer (non LR though) for some warranty work and since then InControl hasn't worked. Its possibly a coincidence and to be fair, I hadn't used it for a few days before it went in to them so cannot blame them.

The problem is it just wont work. I've deleted the app, tried to 're pair' it via a long press of the service button in the over head console and even logged on to the InControl sitre online and removed the car from my account to start again. It says its started the removal but not completed the process yet and its been 3 weeks. This should take a couple of days at most I suspect so I gather the ecu/module can no longer respond.

Has anyone else had issues with the InControl stuff - other than going back to the dealer does anyone have ideas on how I can reset.?

On my old L322 a battery disconnect fixed a multitude of sins... is this possible with the L405.? I assume the battery connectors are in the left hand side of the boot space as I can't see a battery up front.

Thanks Ash

the main battery is under the spare wheel..you may also have an aux battery or a capacitor in the rear right [drivers side] compartment...

follow the battery disconnection procedure as defined in the WM.. ... - .- -.

Is this a known way to try to 'reboot' the telematics module do you know.

Is there any chance IID tool could reset it..?

Thanks Ash

I had similar issue, the car was showing at parked at the last service station I had visited 50 mile away, and could not get it to work. Next day it was the same.
I charged the battery and also did a code check and there was a telemetric fault, once reset and with a charged battery it started to work.

It was a diagnostic tool, I used Autel AP200 as the GAP tool does not support my car. 2018 SE SDV8 4.4 Byron Blue
