Has anyone used the above, I got a policy for piece of mind but am having great difficulty getting in touch. It feels like I've wasted my money - like a lot of organisations strong on sales but weak on customer service?. Anyone else had difficulty with them? Geoff

Had a ME policy for years on my previous D4, mostly to mitigate the 3.0 V6 crank failure which thankfully never happened. They did however pay out on a few bits, e.g. central locking actuator and also something else I can't remember now but it was something on the front suspension. They made me pay 2 x excesses for that even though I argued you'd only fix it in pairs.

Overall though, never really had any issues, I used to use webchat mostly, not sure if you find that better. I thought their online system was pretty slick. You didn't get the 'service' you pay for with Warranty Direct though - only in as much as you kind of need to sort out the repairs yourself and claim the cash whereas WD do everything for you. But then ME was half the price of WD so I wasn't complaining.

Last time I dealt with ME was in lockdown just before I changed vehicles and they were fine then, even when they were all working from home. FFRR SDV8 Autobiography

Motoreasy told me today that they cover cars up to aged 12 years (was looking for cover for a car a fair bit older than that). For info only if not already aware…
