I have standard Bremo 6 pot calipers on the front, and standard TRW calipers on the rear, they have EBC Greenstuff brake pads (much less brake dust than OEM) , and the discs have all been replaced, once you have a decent brake setup the issue is tyres - the tyres will be the weak point - not the brakes ! |

Tyres are new Pirelli Scorpion Zeros - "standard" 255/50 R20s. -------------------------

Go with genuine disks (they are Brembo) as they are dynamically balanced and this is quite important on the huge spinning iron mass. You don’t need drilled or grooved disks as these are for racing applications where repeated hard braking is required and the high temperature generated can create gasses that need to be vented but it’s unlikely road pads need this let alone you will need to brake like that for road use. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |

Also make sure you tell your insurance company if you fit drilled or grooved disks 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |

I went with bosch all-round as I do with all my cars, as they are always quiet and brake instantly no matter what temperature they're at (looking at you, ferodo! ), and the availability/price is right too.

Zimmerman is a great brand with top quality products and expensive here in the UK. If you can get them at a good price in Germany, I wouldn't hesitate to buy and fit them. Kev

AutoDoc are also based in Germany. I buy most of my service parts from them and they have a wide range of brake options. Genuine Brembo discs and pads often go on offer and are very cheap.

Thanks for that. I was a little skeptical of the prices for Brembo parts online - they sometimes seem too good to be true. While the idea of performance brakes is fun, I don't really see it as an option for my situation - my fattie is for cruising around leisurely, with the odd high-speed run on the Autobahn to keep the intake clean!
