I change the oil and filter every 5k’s or after a major trip. Gearbox, transfer box, diffs etc every year around MOT time, that’s the schedule I’ve used with my vehicles. Doesn’t hurt.

The difference is a D3 doesn't have a DPF

150k miles - it's just run in. Do not change viscosity. Thicker viscosity does not = better engine protection. The main way (as others have said) to prolong life is to change more regularly as the life limiting factor in diesel oil is soot load. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |
