Off to sunny Anglesey ( via Cheadle )

So the TDV8 is ready to be loaded up with “Nursey” and “Dogster” and we’re off to sunny ( I wish ) Anglesey for a week picking up my Daughter in Cheadle on the way.

So if you’re on the M27, M3, A34, M40, M6 toll, M6, M56 or A55 tomorrow and spot Blue FF “skipping” along a with scruffy looking black terrier staring out the back window gives us a thumbs up to cheer us on our way as it’s going to be a long day. TDV8 4.4 2012

Watch your speed in the 40mph roadworks section of the A55 just near Llanfairfechan. Average speed check and they have been catching literally hundreds every day according to the local paper.
Enjoy your trip Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Thanks for the A55 warning; I see what you mean…. the 40 average was okay, it was not busy so I set cruise control. But elsewhere the changes from National speed limit to 50 are quite abrupt with the cameras only a few 10’s of meters following the speed change. Many vehicles were brake stomping on Friday evening which seems likely to cause safety issues sooner or later.

Also, what’s with the 70mph limit signs ? Why don’t they just display the National speed limit sign ? TDV8 4.4 2012

Well, the Anglesey trip turned out a triumph! The weather was better than expected on every single day and the beaches were beautiful! The trip up on Friday 2nd was a nightmare on the A34, M40 and M42 eventually taking 10 hours door to door ( including stops for the dog ). The trip home was a joy; cruise control most of the way with a few judicious spin-up’s of the ancillary turbo to hop around trucks …… and simply for fun!

Highly recommend Anglesey, it’s beautiful.

Rob,
I was very lucky to visit one day when the warden was taking a walking guided trip out to see the lighthouse at the far end of the little island , setting off as the tide was going out and returning well before the next tide cut it off again.
