Rear suspension arms.

I've just replaced all my front suspension arms and ball joints with Lemforder parts and I'm now starting to do the rear.
I've got some genuine rear subframe bushes, very expensive but I didn't want to try the BMW X5 option, and I've bought some Lemforder hub bushes.
Regarding the rear arms, my plan was to remove them, sandblast and repaint them and replace the bushes but I've seen that I can get two rear lower arms for £175!!
Seeing as genuine ones are over £900 EACH I'm doubting the quality of the bushes and possibly the thickness of the steel etc on the pattern ones.
So my question is, has anybody tried the cheap ones and their opinions please?
Thanks Kev.

The price of the genuine rear arms is why mine were shot blasted, painted and rebushed using genuine LR bushes as I was convinced the after market ones would be crap. Mine were 15 years old and cleaned up very well with blasting. I also used a cavity wax from Bilt Hamber and did the insides of them too.

They are awkward sods to do the bushes in due to the size of them though.

If you're going as far as doing the subframe bushes, I'd remove and blast the whole rear end Smile

Thanks for the reply David.
I will consider what you have said. Just out of interest, how bad were your bushes?
My car passed the MOT recently but for the first time I had loads of advisories on the condition of most of the bushes.

Have a look here:

https://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic57991-285.html

You can see at the bottom of that page where I removed the subframe and took pictures of bushes. Given that they were all 15 years old, they didn’t look new but they weren’t loose upon removal.

Thumbs Up Some good photo's there for me to reference to.
My only concern is that I've bought the same subframe bush extractor tool!!
Just wondering whether I could use some hardened all thread.
