High Pressure Fuel rail fault (4.4 TDv8)

Hi all.
my 4.4 tdv8 has gone into limp mode.
I cleared the code at thew time but it came straight back.

I did a search on here when it happened and found a post with details of changing a fuel filter in the tank I think, but damned if I can find it now.
It is low on fuel so think this could be it. Given its a lowish cost part I want ot order and replace it before filling it up and trying other things.
That said though, what else could it be, or should I look at ?

Cheers,
John.
p.s. car has been running great other than a failed ride height sensor. I do look in on the forum once in a while, just to see whats going on but not had anything to say or contribute Smile Too many toys, not enough time

If fault code P0088-17 then the usual cause is a faulty contact at the connector in the harness to the pressure sensor, as described in LTB 01083. The connector isn't far from the HPFP.

Thanks Graeme.
Yes i guess it could be that. I was thinking the low fuel level may have caused my filter to block if there was crap in the tank.
And since the tank is low would be a suitable time to change it.

I have looked at the connector and it seems ok (no breaks, no corrosion) but definitely on the list of fixes to do now.

Not used the car for a week, just been out to it and flat battery Rolling Eyes
I think it knows winter is coming and wants me to pay it more attention Confused Too many toys, not enough time
