Wasn’t sure which one to post this under to plumped for this.

When I used the IID tool to set my DLR as dipped beam, it makes the wipers work all the time when set to auto and they ignore the rain sensor. Fully appreciate that the auto wiper on full time will make the headlights come on, or at least it did on my E Class, but I would have thought it could work out what’s going on here… anyone else as this issue? Tym

DLR? I assume you mean Daytime Running Lights?
Can you go into the CCF and set the rain sensor to 'fitted'?
Can't help with the oddities with the IID as I use a different system but I did have DRL's enabled on mine for a while and the auto wipers (and the correct interior lighting behaviour) still functioned as before.

I only have off, dipped beam and main beam as options. Why anyone would use main beam as DLR worries me! 🤣 Tym

Definitely worth searching the forum for previous threads of DRL on the 2006-2010 cars. Also just to check you are actually changing DRL settings and not DLR settings (unsure what might come up but DLR/DLS would relate to the dynamic lighting system and not the Daytime Running Lights).

If your vehicle doesn't have the DRL settings, I'd personally just run a wire from an ignition controlled fuse to whichever you want to use as DRL and hey presto. Would test it first before installing properly, in case it raises any errors meaning a relay would need to be added between the vehicle loom and yours.

Things like the heated steering wheel fuse are ignition controlled and I'm sure there will probably be a closer one under the bonnet. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

I’ve actually got some angel eyes to fit when the new lenses arrive, so used the IID to set DLR to dipped beam in the meantime. Put wipers on auto yesterday during some drizzle and they were on all the time. Turned DLR off for now…😉 Tym
