Companies like Nest and Ring do good and simple to use systems that can have a multitude of internal and external cameras set up. I use both and find them good (including motion sensors in the garage). Current: Range Rover L322 4.4tdv8, Porsche 911 (996) Carrera 2, BMW 535d Touring, Skoda Fabia, BMW S1000XR |

I have several REOLINK around my property. Had them a couple of years now with no problem. They are WiFi & solar powered, & often come up on Amazon as specials. |

Have a ring set up, with floodlight cameras, alerts straight to mobile , not cheap but works very well, I just replaced existing lights , very easy to set up too. Very adjustable for area alerts too. |

Another vote for the Blink cameras. Battery powered, easy to use and set up. Kev

That’s interesting that you’re not impressed with the HIK Vision stuff as it’s usually very good and has a good rep. I know a few people who use it and are very pleased with it.

To anyone considering a company with a high TV profile their on-line feedback is worth a read. |

Why I don't rate the HIK.....We have HIKVision 'iPad' in the kitchen linked via our BT router to the driveway gates opener and intercom / camera. It is also partnered with the HIK app on our phones. No matter how we try to configure the set up, if someone rings the intercom our phones go off and keep sounding even when we answer the call. The iPad thingy set up was a real PITA and the sub menus are confusing.
