Tv output to aftermarket rear screens

Hello all

Does anyone know if it is possible to output the tv tuner picture from the head unit to a set of aftermarket (alpine) rear screens? Only had the car for 3 days and already the kids are mithering me that it is inconvenient for them to have to lean inwards and focus on the screen in the front when parked to watch the tv!!

I already have the screens installed with a DVD player in the boot (installed by previous owner) , and was hoping to be able to patch into the existing tuner rather than have to install a separate one for the rear screens.

Cheers

Simon

I know for fact that this is possible with both version of Head Unit (BMW & Denso). Which one do you have? 2000 BMW M5, Avus Blue/LeMans Leather Interior

No idea, mine is a 2007 vogue if that helps?? Embarassed

I have a lot of tuners and amps in the rear of the car. I am not bothered about the rear being able to control the tuning of the tv, just want to be able to output the video signal to the other screens

Thinking about it i am going to say Denso, as it runs the same nav software that I had in my old RR Sport

Yup, it is the Denso unit! I know this can be achieved but I don't want to put you in a wrong direction (as I never did that myslef), so I will redirect you to a the sister site Disco3.co.uk! As the Denso unit is the same in the RR, RRS and Disco3, they can help you easily, as this has been done before many times!
