Your fuel cooler is on the offside of the fuel filter. Check that and the hoses running to and from.

Hi. The fuel cooler is the stainless looking thing just by the fuel filter with is it about 4 hoses going to it. Seems to me that is to high from where it is dripping. The fuel burning heater does that have water going to it at all times as part of the cooling system. If so I can see the wheel and liner coming off Saturday. Thanks for the insight 2016 4.4 diesel |

I'm unsure how the coolant cycles through the FBH but it's certainly hooked up to the cooling system of the engine because it will heat and cycle it in very cold temperatures before the engine runs.

Its definitely coming from the ns. It drips on top of ns driveshaft so discounts the radiator area. The fbh seems like a good shout 2016 4.4 diesel |

So. After removing the arch liner I have now discovered it’s nothing to do with the fbh. It’s definitely coming from the rubber hoses beneath the fuel filter that head to some metal pipes leading to the cabin. Is it the heater control valve that sits in this area too

130-150Nm for the wheel nuts.

The heater control valve lives down there and has pipes going to and from it. At least it does on my 2007 car. I’ve never had cause to look at the 2012.

As you've got it off, take it to a fabricators and get the hole quickly welded? Can't see they'd want more than £30 for that. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8 |

I was thinking about getting it welded. But for the faffing about. What if it finds another weak spot 2 months down the line. I was also thinking cutting the bad bit out and replace with rubber. But again what if it goes again soon. 2016 4.4 diesel |

I'm unsure why it's got a hole in it anyway.

I know it’s mad. It took ages to find because rather than a drip it would spray but not a vast amount. Pretty confident that this is what is causing the issue

That's not stainless, not swaged like that - there's be a million fractures in it. Alu most likely, looking at the discoloured areas around the hole, either electrolytic corrosion or an inclusion in the alloy reacting with the coolant. Personally, I'd change the assembly or next-best, get some hose spigots and a length of reinforced coolant hose to replace the bad section in the assembly.
