England 2012 Range Rover Autobiography TDV8 Santorini Black
[Wanted] Glass for nearside door mirror (the expensive one!)

A minor RTC today resulted in me losing the top cover and the glass from my passenger side door mirror.

Typically I have the really expensive blind spot monitoring, heated, photochromatic glass.

Does anyone know where I can get one at a price that means I don't have to auction off selected body parts, please?

TIA.

Dunc, Have a look on ebay & the various Land Rover dealers on the internet.

Most wanted in the region of £250. But managed to get a a new one for about approximately £50. Unfortunately I can't remember where I got it from (it's an age thing) Big Cry .

I'll see if I can find where I bought it from.

Thanks, Geoff. That's not the one I need but I've contacted the seller to see if they've got one.

I'm afraid these are really tough to find at a sensible price. I needed one for my TD6 3 or 4 years back. The best I price I could find at the time was around £250 - wasn't paying that. Had to admit defeat in the end - settled for one without the electrochromic feature.

Have just done a quick eBay search on the part no. (CRD000230) - I fear prices are even worse now. 2011 L322 TDV8 A/b Orkney Grey

CRD000230 doesn't have the blind spot assist.

Neither did the car my mirror glass was attached to.
Must presume then that the additional function commands still higher prices...

Point taken mind.
I perhaps replied in the first instance using my phone.
Poster's vehicle details are less readily discernible using the web format for that platform. 2011 L322 TDV8 A/b Orkney Grey

I know what you mean, but the first post does say 'blind spot monitoring' in the text.
There are several aftermarket 'brands' that do what the TS needs, I've never used them myself but I've seen some fitted to customers vehicles and the tint looks a bit 'off' to me. Personally, I'd want both mirrors the same colour and either pay a premium for that or downgrade to the standard mirror glass on both sides.

Sometimes you can get the complete mirror assembly on fleabay cheaper than just the mirror glass.

It could possibly be this one.
Doesn't mention heating, but from my own experience even the really cheap after-market mirror glasses usually have that function.

Not cheap, but perhaps less ridiculous than many of the current offerings.
