New windscreen fitted in France....how do you think it went?

Needed a new screen fitted, so called the UK insurance company, who duly got a French company in Limoges to book me in.

Having read all the issues you guys have on here, I was not filled with confidence.

Dropped it off at 830 this morning and told to collect at 530. Free Toyota Aygo for the day.

Just collected it.....and Censored me, they have fitted a Landrover branded Pilkington screen. Even got the correct colour band across the top. Looking at the paperwork, they ordered the screen from Landrover Limoges at 698.00 euro.

To say I am pleased is an understatement. Of course happy with the OEM screen, but they were incredibly efficient with the dropping off and collecting paperwork, no more than 5 mins. Very un French Rolling with laughter

Similar experience here.

Policy incluses one windscreen replacement per year, so mine picked up a genuine heated windshield (fitted at no cost) as there are no aftermarket options in Australia. SOLD | Tuned MY 2011.5 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 TDV8 Orkney Grey | e-diff | ACC

Cursed it now. You wait until the windscreen decides to go on strike. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

Smart move!

When I was last doing a replacement , speaking with the fitters, they said on normal days their carpark was full of rangerovers.
My guess is the angle of the windscreen makes them vulnerable.
That said my last change was three years ago…. Fingers crossed. Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

Now now, that can't be... will need proof
Something like a video of the guy putting the windscreen with a beret and a baguette under his arm, singing la Marseillaise !
No less. "it needs some intelligence to undestand you may not have enough"
