Drivers door locked, won't open from inside or outside | |
Long story but my rangey was parked up for a while. Went to get in it and then discovered the drivers door wouldn't latch shut. So pushed it too and left it. My father-in-law then decided to be "helpful" and saw it ajar and (presumably) used some brute force and ignorance to close it and latch it, and somehow in the process, the locking button has been depressed.
And now I can't open the door from inside or outside. Both inside and outside door handles feel like there is no resistance (like the cables have snapped) and the lock doesn't respond to the central locking remote. And to further complicate things, I'd installed some of those colour coded handle covers that cover up the key hole.
Is this the scenario where you go in through a rubber bung exposed when you open the rear door, or is this the try and rip the door card off scenario? 2004 Vogue TD6 - Remapped
