Having recently come over to the dark side I have questions.... I'm reading all I can on here but can't find much about how a regen works...

Obviously many on here are more technically able than me but the diesel Range Rovers I have had (two) do mainly short journeys and I've never encountered any DPF issues. Obviously I've been filled with FUD about the whole thing but it has been a none event for me. I do a decent journey about once a month. Geoff |

I just traded my 4.4L engine for the 3.00 litre diesel.

Had mine 3 years now Pete and no warnings so far, (hope I don’t regret saying that). I do short journeys to work, circa 6 miles each way on 30 MPH roads. I try and give it a good run at the weekend including faster roads, IE the local bypass where possible.

Don't worry about how it works unless it shows a problem. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |

Yeah, the soot will burn off naturally if it gets warm enough regularly. It’s all about the temperature of the exhaust.

Don't worry about it unless you get a warning light.

...and if you do get a warning light, the causes are pretty well documented on this site and there's plenty of members who can help. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8 |
