Mounting Spotlihgts on L405 Bumper - Is it possible?

Thinking about mounting four spotlights in front of the grill.

Interested to hear if anybody has done this and what mounting solution was used?

I did just post similar to rangerovers.net and included a couple of photos:

Many thanks

dont know about spotlights, they are a bit old fashioned..

some on the forum have fitted lightbars which can be put behind the grill for a stealth look.. ... - .- -.

You need a very firm mounting for spot lights or they will wobble about all over the place, the thin plastic bumper cover is not really suitable unless you concoct a bracket to fit behind the bumper to connect it to something more solid...

I'm with Stan, spots are a bit old fashioned though.... Thumbs Up Pete

There are lots of grille-mounted LED spotlight (rather than lightbar) options - sure the Discovery ones can’t be miles away from being made to fit.

Yes, Spotlighs does sound a bit 1983. However, I intend to use KC Flex-Era 4 which are some of the more advanced LED "light pods" on the market.

Just stumbled up this bracket for a RR Sport. While the bolt holes may not necessarily line up I think the concept would work well on a 405.

I've been aggressively searching the internet for such a solution. Found some inspirational brackets for Discovery 4 and RR Sport but nothing that will fit the L405.

Suspect that I'm in for a custom engineering solution.

Some of the light bar solutions look neat - like these

Otherwise I'd agree, custom brackets are probably the answer.

Thanks for those interesting links - I hadn't found those.
Fitting a light bar behind the grille seems an elegant solution when matched with a 2018 style grille.
I've considered this route, but given that my 405 already has a ruggadised look, I thought that four lights in front of the grille will give it a "Paris to Dakar" look!
