United Kingdom 2016 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 SC V8 Firenze Red
This may seem strange but go with me !!!!

Good evening all,
Something slightly left field for you to consider and maybe reply if you can help me out.
Now had a chance to rack up some decent miles with the new (to me) car.
2016 Autobiography 5.0
It has a sports exhaust fitted by the previous owner, a quicksilver system.
OK so here is my challenge.
It is quite throaty and pleasantly aural whilst under acceleration but when at motorway cruising speeds and not under load it does seem quite noisy in a droning annoying kind of way.
Calm and serene it is not, it makes me turn up the music to drown it out.
Does anyone have any experience of these exhausts?, would a return to a factory exhaust system quieten things down?
Is there an aftermarket quieter alternative I should think about.
Your help is appreciated.

Standard exhaust is pleasantly quiet until you get the red line coming up on the screen, motorway use is "calm and serene". Only Range Rovers since 1988

Factory original seems to be the way to go.

No experience of a std 5.0 405, but in the 322 it was extremely muted with factory std exhausts - so much so I think it spoilt the effect a bit as could have ben any powerful engine and not necessarily a lovely big V8 - no rumble/gurgle. Move on to the SVA and its back in spades. I love the noise it makes when trying, and the serene silence when not trying. The only down side is its initial roar on start up which can be embarassing if anyone thinks you meant to do it for some reason! So I'd suggest looking for an SVA system if you get the chance. Mike - MPx

That is very helpful.
I had not thought of the SV exhaust, but then again why would I ??
I assu,e that this is a straight bolt off/bolt on fitment.

I shall see what I can find on the bay
Thank you all

Hello again

So this is what is fitted currently to the car

https://quicksilverexhausts.store/collecti...ns-2013-on

Please excuse my ignorance in these matters but would the ebay item highlighted by Craig be a straight fit?
In my simple mind there seems to be one too many box on either side.
As ever you help is appreciated

Thanks Stan, it surely does.

I have had a crawl about underneath...............not dignified at all Shocked Shocked

The main difference seems to be the rear silencers x 2 near the tail pipes.
Onwards and upwards as they say.
I think I may have a chat with quicksilver and get their opinion.

Appreciate the help everyone
