Just had a warning- SOS system limited functionality. Can anybody explain what it means, and is it an expensive job and finally covered by LandRover warranty. Due to oil dilution only use once a week with 30 min journeys going at in excess of 40 miles an hour.

I think it relates the the SOS button overhead and the related subscription service you can get for it. I believe it has its own small battery pack that can fail over time and needs to be replaced to make the system function again. I believe the battery pack is expensive for what it is and as it’s a battery I don’t think it would be covered under warranty but I’m happy to be corrected! FFRR SDV8 Autobiography

It could be a Telematics Control module fault
do you have an OBD2 device that can read your fault codes and able to reset them?
If not the Autel AP200 (bluetooth) is a cheap buy will read and clear codes.

I went on a journey yesterday and it did not show. I don’t have the tool quoted and will consider buying. I have a service due in September so will keep an eye on it till then. Thanks again.
