Hi, 2015 AB 4.4 currently on 90k miles I bought it when it was on low 60’s. Been very reliable but last couple of weeks a few times on first starting up in a morning it fails to change up to second automatically, if I use the paddles it changes and then goes it to auto mode with no issues. The last 3 days however it has cut out when stopping or stationary in traffic the last time it took 4 attempts to restart and then went in to restricted performance. Stopped the car a mile down the road and it cleared the restricted performance when it restarted and drove perfectly the rest of day.

Any ideas on what causing the faults.

If you have access to a diagnostic tool that can graph engine rpm then graph rpm from before starting to idling to check that the rpm isn't momentarily dropping to zero which would indicate a faulty crankshaft position sensor. It's such an easy check that it should be the first action whenever chasing the cause of starting or low rpm faults.

as stated, would just be a guessing game without diagnostics sir...

Been to Indy this morning and the fault code when check against LR database along with symptoms is suggesting wiring fault on fuel pump registering too high a pressure. Parts are only £40 plus hour fitting so trying that first.

Forgot to take a note of code and service bulletin number will try when have work done next week.
