Strange noise from nearside

Hi guys, I had a strange noise start when turning right in my car earlier today.

Accelerating through a right turn there's a grinding noise, like a tyre rubbing or a failing CV joint. No noise on left turns or straight driving.

Could it be related to the ARC system running low on fluid? I have corrosion in the front pipes and am waiting to get them replaced, so carry a bottle of power steering fluid with me.

I top up the reservoir regularly but have seen air in the system while the engine is running.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Mike

It's worth checking that a front brake shield hasn't come loose?

Just had the diagnosis from the main dealer on my leaky pipes and creaking on right turns.

It turns out that the loss of fluid replaced by air in the ARC system is the cause of the right-turn noise.

Glad i was sitting down when they gave me the the repair cost! Big Cry

My car has just been in for a service and the groaning and rubbing type noise has been diagnosed as leaky front ARC pipes.
The problem seems to be these parts are on back order and could take months to source, plus I’m number 6 on the list to get them!

Does anyone know a source for these at all? Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

Can you get to the leaking section?

Mine was on the offside wheel-well downleg, behind a rubber clamp Rolling Eyes

Surely the leaking section could be replaced by fresh steel pipe and compression fittings?

I’m picking the car up later, so I don’t know yet where the corrosion is but they say it’s in the place it always goes, behind the front wheel.
I don’t believe it’s as easy as replacing a brake pipe but not sure the reasons why. Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue
