Jaguar XJ-S feature on pistonheads

I've noticed a couple of people on here have previously owned or still own a Jaguar XJ-S, and I thought you might enjoy reading this...

Certainly not everyone cup of tea, I owned a 1988 5.3 V12 and loved it, and I will own another one day Thumbs Up

England 2010 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Santorini Black

Thanks for posting that........I also had an 88 5.3 V12 and loved it...but I've always liked Jags and still do, think it goes back to when I was a kid and my uncle took us up the newly opened M1 at over 100mph in an old 4.2, then some family friends had S types but the best one I remember was my cousin coming round in a Mk 9....took up half the street. I went on to have an E-type and various XJ6's.....as I said thanks for posting that brings back some memories....BUT now I want another one Big Cry

I grew up around these. My parent's friend always had a V12 of some description, and my mum had a 3.6, one of the last shape.

I helped valet it to sell a few years back, I gave it the once over and found it had run completely dry of oil (for god knows how long) I filled it up and it still ran as sweet as a nut.

I've always been a big fan of the XJS. I had my eye on a last of the line V12 6 litre version a couple of years back for about 8.5k but had nowhere to keep it unfortunately. Never driven one yet but I think they'd be blast. Some real dogs out there though - 3.6s are often wrecks for some reason.

Like the XJRS but hate the white leather steering wheel most of them had Big Cry Very 80's!
