Just thinking when I get an oil change , which is the best oil to purchase to try to delay oil dilution. I have 2017 V8 4.4 RR Autobiography diesel.

Any good quality SAE 5W30 C1 oil that meets the spec JLR.03.5005 or WSS-M2C 934-B will be ok.

No oil will change the dilution rate - that is determined by DPF regeneration cycles which in turn is determined mostly by driving style.

Thanks for the replies. I know this question has been to death. So we are saying no effect on what diesel or oil you use. Just have to travel from Land’s End to John o’ Groats every week you won’t be effected. I phoned storm catcher and they said oil dilution does not effect 4.4 V8 diesels- which is crap !
