As above recently bought a 2014/14 AB, when I use the remote to open the tailgate it works perfectly, opens upper and drops lower, and when I close it does it all as it should (albeit a click (as if its slightly catching on something) on the passenger side but will investigate that.

However, when I open the boot by using the handle the old fashioned way the upper tailgate opens fine, when I press the lower tailgate button nothing happens. When closing the upper the lower also moves and clicks shut as it should. It as if the switch or wiring is dud inside the lower tailgate. Removed the carpet behind the lower tailgate and the wiring looks nice and clean with no damp/splits etc, the switch looks 'ok'. Would it likely be the switch anyway or is there something else to look for? There are 3 wires going into it.

Any ideas?! I've had a good search and cannot seem to find this?
