A 2006 should have the phone fitted as far as I’m aware.

Yes I did but it doesn’t automatically connect I have to fire it up every time which is annoying. |

Having to reconnect every time you get in the car is one of the traits of the early bluetooth module unfortunately.

There's a flash upgrade for the bluetooth module available on the Gap IID which will give you automatic pairing and phone book access. The only drawback to the upgrade is that it disables the phone cradle so you wont be able to use your burner phone |

I have phone book access that’s all working fine just not automatically connecting. |
