opinions please

I am looking at a 405 and either a 5.0 s/c or the 5.0 s/c sv dynamic would like some feedback as to best year and also ride quality. I do and will continue to do long journeys a lot of which are in France Thanks to all

Hi Sandyt

Just got out of a MY19 SVA fantastic car to drive but drinks fuel and mine had a suspension issue that took 18 weeks to identify and fix Sad

Previous were L405 4.4D autobiography and brilliant around car.
Good spec
Decent on fuel
Reliable

All the things you would want on a full fat.

Harwoods Brighton have a petrol one at the moment . Low mileage.

Petrol v diesel . Using 15,000 miles per annum : diesel might be 30 mpg, petrol 20 mpg, you will burn 500 gallons diesel, 750 petrol, at £8.00 a gallon. Total annual cost say… £ 1600 extra

I run diesel as I hate parting with money at the petrol station. Just call me Mr mean! In the great scheme of things £1600 isn’t so significant, it’s about the same as two months depreciation! One month on the new 460 aaaaaarghhhhhh .

Good luck. Bill Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

He who dies with the most toys wins...

TBF petrol is 15p a litre cheaper than diesel so £7.25 per gallon. Extra is only £1400 @15,000 miles p.a.. If you only do 5,000 miles p.a. that's about £450 a year for that sound and far less to go wrong 2007 4.2SC Buckingham Blue

This will be used to go down to the Gironde as well as a bit of work so about 20 k per annum Mrs T doesn't like diesel cars or driving so it will be petrol. I tend to keep cars and over service them so likely to keep it for 10 years so budget will be what it needs to be for the right one
