United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.2 SC V8 Buckingham Blue

Thanks Bigbo

Have head that. Will check bonnet and tailgate struts, wipers etc when it arrives

I am expecting far more to be wrong with her than declared as seems very cheap if straight and relatively rust free.

It did 60k miles in first 3ish years and was bought and serviced from Lookers Chelsea - so a genuine Chelsea Tractor Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter

Thanks

Douglas

All of that was standard on the Supercharged Smile

In 2007 you had HSE, Vogue and Vogue SE specs. Supercharged was Vogue SE spec - £75k when it was new.

From memory, there were very few optional extras back in 2007 due to them having such a high spec from the factory. My first Supercharged was Zermatt Silver with factory tints and I quite liked it. This one is Java Black with factory tints and I’m not a fan of them really.

You getting excited yet?

Mine has a fuel burning heater (with remote and it works) factory fitted as an extra also has deployable sidesteps which I put on and both pulleys on s/c changed so a few things you can do but the spec is brilliant and it makes it hard to move on

Sandy, have you done the 10% pulley?

Whilst I’m doing my cylinder heads and chains I’m giving serious thoughts to a 10% pulley.

Thanks Sandy

FBH would be nice but I live somewhere I can still just start the car 10 mins before I leave if it’s that cold Laughing

Curios about reducing the sc pulley but want it all good before I think about going faster. I’d probably want 6 pot brembos first as well.

42 hours to go Whistle Whistle

And.. inspite of everything I’ve ever driven including Peterbuilt truck and tracked missile launcher!!! I’ve never even been a passenger in an FFRR

David.

It was the chap who had it before me who did the pulleys from what he told me and an indie confirmed it he did both pulleys and the indy said it was one of the fastest Range Rovers he had driven. To be fair the car was immaculate when I bought it and he had done everything including sat nave and tv on the move. It was highly specced and he was a real enthusiast - winter wheels and tyres etc etc.
I have only driven one other 4.2 and it didnt feel as lively and my mileage shows it doesn't hurt the engine too much as it is all original

Cheers Sandy. Having read that thread I've ordered a 6% pulley as it saves the hassle of machining the snout.

You must be getting excited now, Seriously! New car day is always fun Very Happy

Ha Ha

Work very busy and was raining yesterday

It’s here, registered, taxed, insured and had first trip to petrol station.

I’ll do a full write up and pictures at weekend Mr. Green

Pleased overall. Looks good from 5 yds away. A few things not working but nothing not expected. Drives nicely, sounds lovely.

First fix completed with thanks from threads - sunroof not closing properly - memory position reset and all good.

Has daft ditchfinders on it 275/40 so they will have to go.

Initial it’s as follows;

Air con warm - regal booked for Saturday
Passenger mirror not working at all
Drivers mirror powerfold moves but goes back
Rear washer no water can hear pump
Electric park brake doesn’t seem to work. Trim missing below it
Reverse camera no image
Bluetooth not found yet - haven’t looked too hard yet
1 sidelight bulb gone
No remote on key - have tried to synch but think it’s a dead battery. No second key
Front bumper loose on passenger side
A few scratches and bad dink in sill near rear drivers side jacking point - like it’s been dripped on a high kerb
Tailgate and bonnet struts need replacing - on order from PowerfulUK

So all in all not bad for 5k Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter 2007 4.2SC Buckingham Blue

A bit of further playing at lunchtime Very Happy Very Happy

Bluetooth now working - a bit basic
Reverse camera IS working just very obscure - will clean lens and see where we go from there
Went into secret menu - only 2 codes
30-76
0B-41
Any ideas what these are?

Thanks
