United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Barolo Black
Newby with a range of issues..,

Hello all, second post here - please be kind!

I have a 55 plate supercharged, loving the car but have a few niggles that I would like to get sorted with the help of the experience of you guys. Any help welcome, let me know if each point should have it’s own thread…

1. Battery issue - twice now the car has failed to start due to flat battery. The most recent time, 3 days ago, I started the car as normal in the morning, drove 15 mins to the supermarket, shopped for 45 mins…battery dead on return. Bought a booster from the Argos I was luckily outside of and away I went - no further issues, car has been starting fine ever since. One thing I did notice yesterday, I unlocked the car by mistake, then immediately locked it again and the infotainment screen stayed on. Only turning the ignition on and off killed it - is this a known issue or just me? I’m assuming that’s what drained the battery?

2. Satnav thinks I’m in Belgium…

3. Check engine light came on yesterday (diagnostic reader tool arriving today so will report back on that one 🤞

4. Headlight plastic is frosted/cracked/yellowed. Is this a replaceable part or do I need a whole unit? I have read about scrubbers and polishing etc, but I think I hear are too far gone.

5. Fog lamps/parts in general - I have a smashed fog light, so will replace both with LED, but none of them say they fit my car. Does the RRS/disco fog light of the same vintage fit? Can’t ever seem to see my car listed for parts which is very annoying! Are there really any differences between trim levels or is the year the critical thing to look out for when buying parts?

Sorry for the long rambling, and hello!

Will add a few photos…yes I have the full drug dealer spec 😅
