Had similar thoughts a few weeks back, when I was hacking up a French Autoroute returning from the Alps. I was following a French registered L322 AB in santorini black. Well kept and looked stunning. I remember thinking the shape of the L322 still looks bang on, yet there I was in a 405, which is better in so many ways, but still…… |

agree, I want to upgrade to the 405, but I just find something about the L322 that I really love and I dont quite get the same feeling for the younger sibling, I think i'll probably end up going for a 4.4 L322 upgrade for the intrim. 2009 (2010 MY) 5.0 Supercharged Autobiography

The L322 is near perfect for every angle. It’s a masterpiece of well proportioned design as evidenced by it still looking good 20years on. Not sure subsequent models will age so well. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |

Yes! This is it- I genuinely don’t think newer stuff will age as well, same with all modern cars to be honest. They did hit the nail on the head with the design, they are stunning 2009 (2010 MY) 5.0 Supercharged Autobiography

My opinion : the 405 looks like an overgrown evoque, ... there I said it.

I do agree, that generation all look vaguely similar which I don’t like, I get why they do it for brand identity but I’d like my 80-90k Range Rover to look different from the lesser models 😂 2009 (2010 MY) 5.0 Supercharged Autobiography

I think the L322 is a timeless design and genuinely will be looked on as such for a long time yet. It’s understated yet in your face. Sleek in places but bold and brutal in others. Love it. Current vehicles:

Agreed with all the previous comments. I’ve just moved from a P38 to an L322, much prettier in my opinion….much bigger too!! |

I love the shape of the 405, but it’s perhaps a little too “streamlined”. For me the 322 is more of a classic Range Rover.
