Air suspension help please

2011 4.4 TDV8

Hi I’d appreciate some guidance on diagnosing an air suspension fault
Today whilst towing my caravan I got a suspension fault message and a code c1130-66(6c).

I’m looking for diagnosis advice, for background I had front air bag issues about 12 months back where the NSF corner was dropping overnight, this was cured with a new air spring, I’ve not gotten round to fitting the other one yet.

Sometimes when parked on my driveway overnight the front suspension lowers somewhat, this does not happen every time, maybe 50% of the time. My driveway has a fair slope to it and the car is parked nose up. I wondered if this was to do with the wake up levelling function.

This summer I did a fair bit of travelling with three rear passengers and luggage. My wife in the back said that she could hear a noise which I’m sure is the compressor (my hearing is poor) this probably went on for around 2 minutes after starting off. I was probably raising from access to normal height on moving off. This gives me a suspicion that the compressor may be weak?

If possible I’m looking for guidance on a diagnosis method, possibly parking on the level in access mode ( I think that you can pull a fuse to disable levelling ?). Also as I have a GAP tool is it possible to view live pressures etc, and what should I be looking for?

Thanks

Phil

Raise to off-road height and listen for a hissing noise. At normal and lower heights, the bag can fold over itself and (almost) effectively seal any pin hole leak. The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom Smile

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I’m looking for something more technical. I’m hoping to leave it overnight and monitor drop and /or pressures. But I am also aware that the system can wake up and try to self level. I would like to bypass this system

Have you checked out the air suspension calibration routine that the Gap tool provides? Running through this procedure should help to identify any issues Thumbs Up Jonathan
