Update following my previous thread after the advice on what to check for from you guys!
Got this noise on my 2011 4.4tdv8. 100,000 miles.
Just changed the oil prior to video (black but seems “good”) have now got a pin hole in the filter retainer so ordered on as it was on so tight.
Changed fuel filter
When I first turned the car on it’s as if the oil went round and lubricated and maybe, just maybe the sound went much less but then increased.
Upon reving sound gets much more rattly
Also I’ve taken both the fan etc belts off.
Got a cheap stethoscope and been round the engine, vacuum pump and Hpfp but nothing seems out the ordinary.
The only place I can actually hear a similar noise through the stethoscope is when putting it on the metal pipes going to the injectors. I have unplugged each injector one by one but none eradicated the noise?
The noise began after a short drive where the car got up to 70mph and upon slowing the noise began so I nursed it home and it’s been parked ever since.
Secondary taping noise comes and goes and it seems to come from the radiator location as per video.
Any advice would be great.
