When stationary with the engine at working temp I get a tainted fume smell inside the car with the heater on. I have also had slight smoke coming from the heater vents and around the wiper area. I’m assuming the heater is drawing in the smell from under the bonnet. There is no smell or oil leaks that I’ve seen under the car or within the engine area.
When normally driving the smell disappears. This must be due to the smell from under the car being drawn away by the movement of air.
The smell can sometimes make your eyes smart.

Any ideas would be appreciated thanks.

I suspect oil cooler leak also. Fairly common on the 4.4 Kev

Got this done last week, 600Euro job at the main dealer.

Whole bunch of gaskets and o-rings needed changing, not the oil cooler itself.

It was a leaking oil cooler.

all done now ? and back to normal i guess
