Amazing what you can say with a straight face

Kinda short version …………

National DG company phone regarding new soffits and gutters , Right says I send someone round to give me a quote

Sales guy calls last night , i go round the property helping him measure up, back into the house , sales guy works out the price , on saying i will speak to the missus tonight when she gets home to discuss it , sales guy phones his manager whom in return wants to speak to me.
He starts getting a bit lippy saying that this is a special price event they are having and why his company prefer husband and wife to be together so that a decision can be made there and then , basically he was starting to Censored me off with his attitude ( At this point the sales guy has never mentioned the quote to his manager).

So i ended up telling the manager on the phone the decision was No since he was in such a hurry for a decision and also due to his manner on the phone ……..

Oh and the quote … the sales guy told me with a straight face ….. Whistle

That's what happens when you have a FFRR parked outside. Laughing

I got quoted £3,500 just to do the garage. It's plastic FFS! Shocked
So I just rubbed the wood down and painted it in a day.

hmmm. I've just booked to have mine done. FUll house and garage.

Initial quote was £14k or there abouts. I;m having it all done and a couple of doors swapped around (long story) but I signed up for the whole lot £7,800.!

This is also the complete renew rather than upvc "over capping" that some cowboys do. It's the same company that did my windows and doors (24 windows and 7 doors) a couple of years ago so I know them to be good. Ash

Hi mate - It's Alpine in Hutton (Brentwood). I think they are called Alpine Home Improvements now but used to be called Alpine windows.

Pretty good service as long as you haggle them down on price. I think they could do with the business as well. Ash

Well I don't know exactly but I think he mentioned something like 130m.??

Does that sound right??? I have the surveyor coming tomorrow so can verify the meterage after he's done his bit I guess. Ash

Well, that donkey that came out to me must have got his figures wrong because i am only 310 metres and i cannot see it being the amount he quoted if you are £7,800 for yours

And it was based on the same as yours , old soffitts and guttering and drain pipes removed and replaced with all new UPVC stuff .

One thing they could not do was to replace my outside downlighters that are fitted into the soffitts ………

Anyhow got a courtesy call back from them this morning , told them it was soffitts and guttering i wanted to buy , not the frigging company ... Thumbs Up
