Heater fan not working for first ten minutes….

2012 TDV8.

The heater fan is not coming at start up when selected, either auto, manual, max a/c or defrost. After about ten minutes, it behaves normally. The heater itself appears to be fine as the parking heat works normally too.

Any fixes please? 2021 3.0 P400 Vogue

2011 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Buckingham Blue

Normally, both my L322s wouldn’t blow air out if you have selected a warmer temp and the water isn’t there yet…. That said, max defrost always put the air out….. so not sure….

Only ever had it on Auto…. Never tried in manual fan with engine cold, so all this might be a red herring……

Having reviewed some of the recent threads and with my fan showing remarkable consistency, maybe this is actually a thing. I played around today and had the same results.

My car had a full (latest LR from Solihull) software update a few months ago. Not sure many 322s will have had this so realistically, I’m probably most interested in what early generation L405s do…. 2021 3.0 P400 Vogue

So if you select a colder temperature does the fan come on earlier or always 10 min?
