How do I tell if its an Overfinch...?

Hi all,

Can someone tell me how I ensure that a L322 4.2 with the Overfinch badges on (with correct front and rear bumpers) is actually a genuine Overfinch ? Would the v5c say 'Overfinch' on the model? Its a 4.2 Supercharge, 56 plate. Gavin

The V5 won’t have Overfinch on it as not a Range Rover model. The authenticity certificate from Overfinch is the ultimate provenance if they have record of it, ownership changed in 2010, check out their website. An original invoice from Overfinch detailing the cost of vehicle and its upgrades would have been part of the original paperwork though. Overfinch specs differ as it was down to the customer what they wanted and conversions were not limited to new cars. There’s a few give aways genuine Overfinches tend to have the smaller Land Rover badges on the steering wheel and doors replaced with Overfinch ones. Also genuine Overfinch alloys are stamped on the inside and the gap between the centre cap and bolt holes is just a few millimetres. If an aero body kit is fitted this would comprise of front and rear bumpers but also side sill covers and a small rear boot lid mounted spoiler. Hope this is of use. Holland and Holland Range Rover By Overfinch

I maybe wrong but a proper overfinch was only available on the early l322s with the bored out engine to 5.0 would be the only kind on the v5 as the engine is different Current stable:
2006 BMW M6
2007 4.2 V8 S/C FF
Gone:
2002 4.4 V8 FF

My authentic Overfinch is a 4.2 and is a 2006 , enhancements in engine power at least for that year look to be limited to a circa 50bhp performance pack option which was tuning essentially and featured on the Super Sports variant. Holland and Holland Range Rover By Overfinch
