Is the actuator moving freely, seized, or tight to move? |

They have said the actuator linkage is moving freely, so I’m assuming it’s the bit the linkage connects to.

Just to follow up on this, they said the linkage was moving freely but they suspect that the actuator itself is faulty, so they has suggested replacing the entire turbo. I did ask if if was possible to replace just the actuator but they advised against it, so I'm still stuck in my dilemma............ Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

Not much of a dilemma from my POV - no point sinking £1k into it if you are not going to keep it and it's not worth that much even if fully working. Offer it up on here or trade it in and hope for the best. Not probably the best time to buy a used car but if you want an L405 you are not buying on a budget so just cut your losses and move on. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |

Well the garage said it was as much labour to get the actuator off, so they suggested it was best to do the turbo while it was off.

I hear you and I'd love that to be the case and if you can change one on a FF in less than 30 minutes, I'll pay your fare up to Glasgow to do it for me Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue
