Report on Local Welsh news said it was 3 years old and seven weeks out of guarantee, but only just been serviced at Land Rover dealers.

Don't think that's the case here...it's the media hyping up something to make 'NEWS HEADLINES', until an investigation has been conducted and the facts uncovered, it's all a case of unwarranted speculation. AND of course, it makes for a good juicy news story!! I love the driver's (I'm not sexist so I won't mention it was a person of the opposite gender to mine, LOL!) statement that the message on the dash read...'OK TO DRIVE BUT WITH CAUTION'. JLR must be pandering to the politically correct brigade when even the dash messages have to be so 'Circumspect'. I'm just waiting for my dashboard to light up with... 'ARE YOU WEALTHY ENOUGH TO OWN OR DRIVE ONE OF OUR PRESTIGE...(IF NOTORIOUSLY UNRELIABLE AND PRONE TO SPONTANEOUSLY COMBUST) PRODUCTS? IF NOT, PULL OVER, HAND THE KEYS TO A RESPECTABLE PERSON, EXIT THIS VEHICLE IMMEDIATELY AND ORDER YOURSELF AN UBER!' |

I'm glad that nobody was hurt in this incident but I do wonder what the woman expected JLR to do, especially without the cause of the fire being known.

Looking at the remains of the car l doubt a definitive cause of the fire will ever be determined. Interestingly a diesel car would never have gone on fire like that. |

"When she called her Land Rover dealer the day after, she said "his eyes nearly popped out of his head"."

The car caught fire to the house, the brigade probably chucked that outside when gaining entry to extinguish the fire inside the property. Christian. I'm glad no one got hurt, but it wasn't a real Range Rover Encourage alternative fuels, use all the petrol!
