Should be able to shoehorn in an 020 sized normal lead acid battery in a car of that year. Get your tape measure out to check. Previous cars:
S-Max 2007-2013 (only diesel I've had, good car but expensive when diesely bits go wrong, so what's the point?)

Just make sure you've got the bonnet is maintenance mode so you can lower the battery down easily despite it's weight. Paul,
