LWB clear glass conversion

Just picked up my 2016 LWB 5.0 SC and the only bit I feel that lets it down is the factory fit privacy glass. Always preferred the clear glass look so considering doing the conversion. Has anyone done this before on a LWB? Did it to an L322 and it was a pig of a job. Any advice welcome

I imagine it’ll be as much a pig of a job as the L322 if not worse. It’s a similar window layout I think.

I have to ask, why buy it that way knowing you would want to change it. Surely it’s a lot of expense over and above the purchase price, and potentially a car without tints might have been cheaper than one with as tints are often seen as more desirable.

(I can’t think I’ve felt with mine that the tint has hindered me in anyway either ) V8 or else ...

Thanks @fisha - not quite sure if you’ve got experience doing the conversion or not? I was asking for any advice for someone that has carried it out?!

Is clear glass readily available for a LWB ? I can't imagine any/many being spec'd with it as it's a model targeted at people who are driven rather than those that drive.

There was this thread, but don't recall any others about people going clear - https://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic59511.html

Exactly! Not many LWBS with the clear probably for that reason. Will call Landrover dealer tomorrow to price up and get a local glass co to take a look.
