Front camshaft seal/front main seal

Asking for some pointers. Last week my serpentine belt snapped it was completely shredded and wrapped around the fan so replaced it, it wasn't too bad of a job. whilst everything was out I degunked the front of the engine to try and find my small oil leak which has been an ongoing issue for a while, so this week I have quite a major oil leak Big Cry going from a few pointers on here stuck a camera behind the main pulley where the crank seal is to find more shredded belt covered in oil so it looks like I'm going to have to replace the seal. any special tools I need? is it a diy job or is it a wait for a specialist to become available?

so I'm stuck, can't get the crankshaft pulley bolt off, even borrowed a impact driver with a 1000nm bolt breaker is there some sort of holding tool for the pulley or is a case of taking out the starter? this is for the tdv8 4.4 2012

Could it have a left hand thread?

It has a thread which undoes by turning anticlockwise. I have bought a new bolt to go back in

Can you get a strap wrench to go around the pulley and wedge it against something solid?

so wasn't to bad used a stump puller to fix the pulley

https://www.fullfatrr.com/gallery/albums/u...20copy.pdf
came off with a bit of extra scaffold tube. what was behind was a mess of completely shredded belts
https://www.fullfatrr.com/gallery/albums/u...20copy.pdf
I think that this was the original cause of the small oil leak which has progressively got worse
as you can see the crank seal has gone just the metal spring left

So I thought I had fixed this as no more oil leak… until Thursday when I noticed some oil on the drive, so took under trays of to find oil is pouring out from behind crank seal Shocked so Friday picked up new seal and started job to replace. Once I got crank shaft pulley off found that the seal had come out???wtf and behind the seal was little bits of black rubber probably from the fan belt which I found on the first job which was wrapped behind the pulley which I thought I had removed??? So used an aurascope thing (used for looking in ears and up noses) to look inside the engine through the three holes which are behind the seal, only to find it packed full of bits of fanbelt??? So pulled it all out with a pair of fine tweezers. Looked all clear put it all back together and took it for a drive only for it to happen again Saturday with another piece of black fanbelt pushing the seal out and leaking oil so rechecked for any more debri with aurascope nothing double checked and then pushed seal back in and tapped it flush with a socket. Put it back together I’ve got this down to a tee now and it takes me less than 4hours from start to finish went for a drive everything good…. Untill today (Sunday) another oil leak Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad what am I doing wrong????

Do you have to stake the seal in place? Does it recommend using an adhesive?
Are you only tapping on the outside edges of the new seal, i.e, using a large socket or tube?

Hi the seal comes with what I would call an introducer? Which goes over the front of the crank shaft and then I use a socket which probably touches the out side edge of the seal give or take a couple of mm and then it taps in using a rubber mallet there are grooves on the outside edge of the seal and ridges on the inside of the of the engine seal well I assume they pair up? The seal ends up flush with engine.
