Good news! I put one end of a chopped-up jack lead into the connector pins (picture below), plugged in some headphones and got sound.

Be a handy way to add a socket for wired headphones, or a BT transmitter to allow the front seat passenger to listen to the audio for a DVD while the front output is muted. Annoys me that the wife can watch a DVD but I have to listen to it while I'm driving. 2012 (L322) 4.4TDV8 Vogue SE, RSE, Fuji White over Arabica.

Install complete. It works, but the sound quality is pretty poor. I need to do some more investigation to work out where the problem is.

first of all you connected two recievers in parallel it is mistake.. You should connect transmiter directly to the plug. Second issue may be impedance mismatch. |

That's a good point, it sounds like some frequencies are more attenuated than others. I'll buy a new connector and wire the BT transmitters directly to that. |

Just finished, and it works like a charm! I believe the L405, Sport, and the Evoque use similar IR headphones so this will probably work on them too.
