Erm, leaking fuel line?

Maybe you will want to get that looked at - IIRC the FBH will run automatically whenever the temperature is below a certain level so it will be leaking all the time - you probably only notice it when the pre-heat feature is being used as the vehicle is stationary...

Is it heating as well as dumping fuel? Without wanting to state the obvious, but I will, it sounds like you have a leak. Can you see where it is coming from? Previously..

Could be leaking at the connection of the fuel pipe to the fbh or it could be un-burnt fuel coming out of the exhaust.
If it's the latter you should see it dripping out of the exhaust pipe.
This is it

Thanks Chaps, It is heating the cabin but i havent had a look yet to see werabouts it is coming from, not had much to do on this motor yet so not familiar with were things are,i was wondering if the fbh does not light does the unburnt fuel get dumped out of its exhuast? i will check fuel lines for leaks, the leak seems to be from rear of engine area

FBH is at the rear of the engine compartment on the nearside (passenger side) of the car - I say rear of the engine compartment, but I believe that the best way to get to it is either to remove the battery and battery tray or the inner wing lining - possibly both.

As far as I know, unburnt fuel should not be coming down the exhaust pipe, especially not as it sounds like the unit is functioning. I would suspect a leaking fuel line first

You can get it through the battery tray as simon says, but the easiest way is to remove the wheel arch liner on the passenger side, can be done with the wheel on and the car on the ground. This gives a pretty decent view of the FBH and pipework, still tight though.

At least it is working they can be temperamental as you may have guessed from other threads.

There is an ignition sensor in on the FBH, if it wasnt lighting I presume it would stop pumping fuel and so none should come out of the exhaust, you can see the exhaust tip if you get under the car on off road mode, it exits near where the passenfer lower control arms bolt to the tubular subframe. tube about 1" in diameter open ended. if its lit then you should feel the warm flue gasses being expelled.

good luck with finding the problem There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Was going to say, it is much easier to see from the wheel arch, the exhaust should look like this:

will make more sense when you have the car in off-road height and as has already been said you should be able to feel the gases coming out when the FBH is running Thumbs Up

United Kingdom 2015 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Barolo Black

Hi guys I have a Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 2015 and there is a smell of diesel in the cab, I have found that there is a pipe behind the left (n/s) front wheel dripping fuel, I assume this is some sort of overflow pipe from the cabin heater, could anyone shed any light on what this issue could be?
