Hi,

Quick question. Car is the TD6 155k miles

I am getting a whistle from the turbo ( I think) Its always had the slight whistle when you come off the throttle but i now have a more consistent one when the car is under load seems to go away over 3,000 rpm but that might just be that the engine is louder.

NOW i had assumed that the turbo spins up regardless of whether the car is in motion or gear, i cant replicate when its in park on the drive? I assume they vary vanes depending on whether its in gear so i am thinking its still the turbo.

But it has got me thinking about other items driven by the engine ie power steering, water pump or idle pulleys?

Any thoughts would be apreciated.
